We have an exciting new career opportunity for an enthusiastic, dynamic and teaching professional to join our constantly developing school as a Lead Practitioner: PSHE, RS Curriculum Lead and Quality First Teaching (QTF) Curriculum, T&L Coach.
Alongside the Deputy Headteacher for Excellent Teaching and Learning, the Assistant Headteacher for Intentional Character Development and our LP for SEND and Inclusion, the Lead Practitioner will promote a culture of excellence by providing leadership capacity to enhance the strategic vision and operational management of developing and embedding an understanding and application of curriculum design and delivery and in particular in relation to our QFT strategy for teachers and departments across the school.
The Lead Practitioner will design and deliver the PSHE and RS curriculum so that we are always statutorily compliant, but equally agile, in meeting the emerging needs from the local and national context. This will also include co-curricular activities and contributions to the school’s student leadership programme. Our Lead Practitioner will provide specialist expertise and coaching to teaching assistants, teachers and Heads of Faculty around curriculum task design so that knowledge becomes sticky for all learners and tasks and the delivery of such, promote a success rich curriculum so that all students are thinking hard, working hard and as a result, are remembering more.
The Curriculum Lead will provide professional leadership and management for the PSHE & RS faculty by developing the provision in line with the school development plan, supporting colleagues in the implementation of the curriculum and working to unlock potential through Raising Standards meetings and action plans to secure ambitious outcomes for our students.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in QFT, specialist teaching and coaching alongside extensive teaching experience leading to impact in PSHE and RS. They will also have a proven record in raising attainment and be keen to work as a dynamic aspirant Senior Leader.
