Learning Assistants, supporting students at this site, will be in their element working in a busied and varied environment. Support needs of students are variable but some experience of working with people with mental health difficulties, specific learning difficulties and some physical disabilities may be an advantage here. Some personal care may be required.
Ashley Down
Ashley Down is a vibrant place to learn, located on Gloucester Road, Bristol. With a strong focus on independent life skills, employability practice and sensory learning, as well as ESOL, Learning Assistants at this centre will require a strong awareness of complex needs, including personal care. Learning Assistants enjoy the benefits of going out into the community.
South Bristol Skills Academy (SBSA)
SBSA is located in the South of Bristol City. Being our lead centre for skills-based learning it offers a vast range of vocational courses with some apprenticeship delivery. Some personal care may be required. Roles within this centre may suit those with a background in Youth work.
Parkway
The Advanced Engineering Site is based at Parkway, Bristol and delivers specialist engineering, aeronautical, manufacturing and automotive courses. Supporting students at this centre may require some class-based learning as well as learning in a workshop environment, as well as supporting apprentices.
