Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 (pro rota for part time roles)

Contract: Fixed term up to 31st August 2021

Hours: 252 hours in total (average of 10.25 teaching hours per week)

Location: Ashley Down


What will you be doing?

City of Bristol College is seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and qualified lecturer/ trainer to help delivery our Education and Training qualifications. This role will primarily be based at our Ashely Down campus.

What you’ll be responsible for/what we are looking for:

• The successful candidate will be IOSH qualified and registered to deliver this qualification.

• Create, use and promote high quality learning resources that are individualised to meet the needs of our learners.

• Highly structured intervention to targeted learners and to ensure that interventions are effective by producing evidence-based progress data.

• Where required, assess students for Exam Access Arrangements.

• Work closely with College staff and the Awarding Body to ensure the best provision for students is in place.

• Strong IT skills along with excellent communication skills are a must as is the ability to work effectively within a team.

You will also need to be able to build and maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders, at all levels, internally and externally, as well as other members of College staff and students. You should also be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative. You should also have a natural desire to work to high standards and achieve learners in a timely manner and confident in working in a fast-paced environment, with changing priorities.
