Salary: GBP 28,000 – GBP 35,000 (pro rata)

Contract: Part time – Fixed Term from January 2021 to August 31st 2021

Hours: 18.5 hrs (12 hours per week Contact /Teaching and 6.5 hours non-contact) timetabled over 3 days.

Location: South Bristol Skills Academy and the College Green Centre

What will you be doing?

City of Bristol College is seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and proactive Hairdressing Lecturer who is also able to deliver gents cutting and styling techniques for our Level 2 Barbering students. We are looking for someone with experience of Ladies and Men’s Hairdressing and who is confident in working in a fast paced environment, with changing priorities.

This position is part time and will be based across two sites. You will teach level 2 Hairdressing and Barbering courses to both to full time students aged 16 – 18 and part time courses for adults. The College is a leading provider of Hairdressing Educational programmes and we are seeking to recruit a sector professional who is committed to helping young people succeed. The role will include; teaching practical skills and theory knowledge as well as delivering and embedding Maths, English and essential interpersonal skills.

You will be self-motivated and well organised. You will have good personal and organisational skills that enable you to work effectively with students and colleagues. A recognised vocational qualification is essential as well as a teaching qualification and assessor’s award.
