Cover Administrator - Part time (25 hours per week, term time only)
September 2025
Claremont Fan Court School is looking for an efficient and diligent individual to join our welcoming community as a cover administrator. Working at the heart of the school’s daily operations, you will play a vital role in ensuring continuity for our pupils by coordinating cover for absent teaching staff and maintaining the smooth running of our academic day.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, able to work quickly and thoughtfully under pressure. You will enjoy being part of a team, but also be comfortable using your initiative when the unexpected arises. Organised and meticulous, you will take pride in managing a dynamic daily schedule, communicating room changes and cover arrangements clearly to colleagues and ensuring the school’s duty rota runs safely and smoothly.
This is a varied and fulfilling role for someone who thrives on collaboration, cares deeply about maintaining a purposeful environment, and wants to contribute meaningfully to a school that values courtesy, respect, and the holistic development of every child. Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally in an educational setting is desirable, and familiarity with systems such as SIMS and Microsoft Teams would be advantageous.
In return we offer a competitive salary and all the benefits of working in a thriving independent school including generous contributory pension, 5x life assurance and discounted school fees (for eligible staff), free lunches during term time, onsite parking and a cycle to work scheme.
Further details of the role and how to apply can be found under the ‘working at Claremont’ link on our website or by calling HR
Closing date: 9.00am Wednesday 4 June 2025
Interviews will be held week commencing Monday 9 June 2025
