As part of the Estates team, the Facilities Assistant will support the safe and efficient running of all aspects of the daily operation of the School. The Facilities Assistant will possess a range of practical skills to help contribute to the general site set up, maintenance and improvement works and will be fit and able to cope with the physically challenging duties of a Facilities Assistant.
The Facilities Assistant will be a confident communicator and will enjoy working with colleagues across the School, always having a positive approach to providing excellent customer service.
The Facilities Assistant will be responsible for locking the School at the end of the day, and the position includes out-of-hours caretaking for the site as directed. The Facilities Assistant will also work on other maintenance tasks around the site as directed.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 2.00 to 7.45pm, including a 30-minute daily lunch break (26.25 paid hours per week). The role also requires working one weekend in every three, covering both Saturday and Sunday from 8.00am to 3.00pm, with a 30-minute lunch break each day. Participation in Rose Day is mandatory, and there are additional opportunities for overtime.
The pro-rated salary for hours per week is £18,359.60pa to £19,665.10pa (£26,228pa to £28,093pa FTE)
This is an all-year-round position (52 weeks) with an annual leave entitlement of 25 days plus normal bank holidays. There is a pension scheme for all Business Support Staff, and a school fee remission scheme may also be available. All staff are entitled to a two-course daily lunch during term time and refreshments throughout the School day.
