Clifton High School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, sporty and intelligent university graduate with a ‘can-do’ attitude to assist with a range of duties and activities within the PE and Sports Department as well as across the School. The Sports Graduate will assist teachers in PE lessons, games sessions, fixtures and School trips, and undertake other duties in line with the post-holder’s skills and experience.

This position is an excellent stepping stone towards a teaching career, and for the right candidate, there may be the opportunity to lead and deliver a small amount of classroom teaching alongside members of the PE and Sports Department.

Given the diverse nature of the role, the successful candidate will need strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with a wide range of staff across the School. They will also be a keen sportsperson with the ability to assist with quality teaching and coaching to pupils of all abilities and ages.

Experience in coaching netball and girls’ hockey is essential. It would also be beneficial for the post holder to have played or coached sport to a good standard in any of the School’s frontline sports, and an interest in Strength and Conditioning would be an advantage.

The post holder will also need to be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team and have a willingness to work flexibly with both duties and hours in order to meet the requirements of our busy School, including supporting our active Saturday Sports Programme.
