We are seeking a dynamic Head of English to lead our successful English Department and drive excellence in teaching and learning across KS3, KS4, and KS5.

As Head of English, you will:

  • Provide strategic leadership for the English Department, ensuring high standards of achievement and progress.
  • Develop and implement an innovative curriculum that engages and challenges all learners.
  • Line manage and support a team of talented teachers, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
  • Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning, using data to inform improvement strategies.
  • Play a key role in shaping whole-school priorities as part of the College Leadership Team.

  • A passionate and outstanding experienced English teacher with a proven track record of success across all key stages.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience of curriculum development and staff development.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
