The Catering Department

The Catering department at Commonweal is successful and very popular at Key Stage 4. We are successful because we are passionate about our subject and engage students with frequent practical lessons and delicious recipes throughout Key Stage 3. This is achieved with a comprehensively planned and resourced curriculum which aims to give students skills in all aspects of catering, food preparation and nutrition and prepares them for further study and for life. It is further supported through building positive relationships with students and building emphasis on students taking responsibility for the level of their own success. The Catering department is part of the Creative Technology faculty and are reflective and supportive teams. We look forward to welcoming a new member of staff who can be an active part of a department we’re proud of.
