At Compass Point, we work hard to ensure all children achieve their full potential in the academic, artistic, social, spiritual and emotional aspects of learning. We offer all learners an engaging, exciting and immersive range of experiences that are designed to capture, inspire and ignite learning. As a school, we have created and implemented an enquiry based curriculum with a focus on skills progression and creativity. 

In 2015 an extension on the front of the school was added to incorporate a modern and open plan Nursery space as well as two additional classrooms. The extra room has meant that we can have dedicated music, art and cookery spaces for the children to use.  We are also fortunate to have our own on-site forest school and large school field for outdoor learning and PE.

In July 2017 the school became an academy and a very proud member of the new Gatehouse Green Learning Trust. Our ethos continues to be very much based within the cooperative trust values. Other schools in Gatehouse Green Learning Trust are Redland Green School, Ashton Park School, Luckwell Primary School and Ashton Vale Primary School.

In 2020 the school celebrated it's 125 year anniversary.

Founded in 2012, Excalibur Academies Trust has grown from two schools in Marlborough, Wiltshire, to 20 schools reaching from Bristol to Reading along the M4 corridor, providing high quality education to 10,000 children from age 2 to age 18.
