Expanding Specialist Resource Provision
Full time positions - required from September 2023
We are delighted to provide an opportunity to join our team, as our NEW SRP (opened Sept 22) for ASC and mild to moderate learning needs grows from 4 children to 8 children in September 2023, increasing the intake to 14 children incrementally over the next four years.
We are seeking to recruit experienced, passionate, and highly effective practitioners, who will complement our existing staff. Currently we have: the Teacher in Charge, 1x HLTA and 1xTA and for September 2023 we need to recruit:
Teacher (x1) - MPS (ECT’s welcome to apply)
HLTA (x1) - Grade E (9-15)
TA (x2) - Grade C (3-5)
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who have the qualifications, skills, and ambition to support, inspire and engage all children, so they can accomplish their learning and personal targets. A sense of purpose, positive outlook and a constant focus on high standards of achievement is essential.
You will benefit from working closely with experienced staff across the Coombe Academy Trust (CAT), to ensure the provision meets children’s individual needs within the SRP. You will also work closely with mainstream school staff.
We are looking for a dynamic, inspirational and highly effective practitioners who have:
- A record of excellent classroom practice with strong organisation and assessment skills.
- A commitment and passion for inclusive education along with the ability to use multiple strategies to maximise achievement and effectively manage a variety of challenging behaviours
- A thorough understanding of the needs of pupils on the autism spectrum and those with mild to moderate needs.
- The ability to develop and share ideas for the adjustment of learning so that pupils with SEND know and remember more.
- The ability to reflect and see solutions in daily teaching, in own practice and that of the team.
- The ability to provide a stimulating learning environment which is conducive to high quality learning.
- The ability to build effective trusting relationships with parents, external agencies, and a range of professionals.
- The ability to use knowledge of research and experience to bring ideas and methods of support to the school team to enable all children to reach their full potential.
- The commitment to high standards of progress and achievement.
- A Self-motivated and researched focus approach and is able to work as a team member with enthusiasm and energy.
- A willingness to take an active role in the life of our school and across the CAT.
- Has high expectations of children and self.
- Experience of working in this type of setting is desirable, but isn’t essential as training will be given.
