Role: Apprentice Playworker
Hours: On-site Thursday 8:30am - 1:00pm and Tuesday to Friday 3:00pm - 6:00pm
(total 20 hours per week, including 4 hours study time-to be worked flexibly)
Start date: September 2025
Payscale: £8.50 per hour
Do you enjoy working with children and want to build a career where no two days are the same? We’re looking for an energetic and caring apprentice to join our team and become a qualified Playworker in just 18 months!
Due to the growing numbers in our very popular and successful extended care service the Headteacher and Governing Body are looking to appoint an apprentice Playworker to join our dedicated team in our after-school club, the Green House.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting safe, fun and engaging play activities after school and in nursery
- Helping set up creative games and activities
- Building positive relationships with children aged 3–11
- Learning on the job while gaining a nationally recognised qualification
What We’re Looking For:
- Aged 19–25 and ready to earn while you learn
- Positive, reliable and enthusiastic about working with children
- Willing to commit to 18 months of training and development
- No formal experience needed – just a great attitude!
What You’ll Get:
- £8.50 per hour (including 5 paid hours of study time weekly)
- A Level 2 Playworker qualification on completion (in 18 months)
