The Headteacher and Governing Body are looking to appoint a highly professional, energetic and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work in partnership with our excellent team of staff. This role will provide the opportunity to provide additional support for specific pupils across the main school and the Specialist Resourced Provision for children who are Deaf. Knollmead is a friendly, aspirational, inclusive and happy primary school, judged to be Outstanding for Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership and Management, and Early Years provision by Ofsted (February 2025).
7 hrs per week (2 mornings per week 8:30am-12 noon), term time only
You will:
- be a good role model for our pupils
- promote the achievement of every child
- work effectively as part of a team
- motivate and inspire children and colleagues
- be committed to building strong parental and professional links
- Have GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English
- Have direct experience of working with children with additional learning needs and/or who are deaf, and/or be willing to undertake specialist training.
You will be expected to show a strong commitment towards developing inclusive learning opportunities for the children and the flexibility to work across the Key Stages.
