Job Title: Catering Assistant

Location: 50 Swanswell Street, Coventry, CV1 5DG

Contract Type: Full-Time TTO

Hours per Week: 37 per week – 36 weeks per year

Salary: Actual Salary - £20,987 - £21,407 (£26,166 to £26,690 FTE) per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)

About the Role 

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare the dining area for service, which may include moving and/or setting up furniture and trolleys

• Prepare the service area, hot cupboards and other equipment 

• Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages 

• Wash dishes, cutlery, tumblers, jugs, serving utensils, containers, tables and all other catering equipment

• Clean catering areas to regulated standards

• Undertake on and off the job training as required by management

• Inform the Unit Manager of any defects in equipment or premises

• There may be a requirement to transfer to and from both catering units (South/North Buildings)

• Undertake any other duties that may be required for the effective operation of the catering establishment. 

Who We're Looking For: An organised, enthusiastic individual with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently with an understanding of basic food Hygiene, cleanliness and safety awareness.
