Salary: £25,160 - £25,644 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)

About the Role
An exciting opportunity has become available in the Science team at Coventry College. We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, diligent, and inspiring Science Technician with the vision, commitment, and determination to support high-quality teaching and learning across our Science provision.
As part of a dynamic and forward-thinking department, you will prepare and maintain laboratory materials and equipment, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and assist staff and students during practical sessions in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Forensic Science.
Requirements
Must-Have:
• A minimum of level 3 qualifications in Science (Science based degree is desirable)
• Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
• COSHH training (or willingness to undertake training)
• Good working knowledge across multiple science specialisms
• Recent experience in a science laboratory, preferably in an educational setting
Nice-to-Have:
• Supporting practical sessions across a diverse curriculum
• Training staff and students in safe equipment use
• Conducting risk assessments
• Working with young people in a school or college environment
• Prior experience working as a Science Technician within an educational setting
