About the role:
Cowbridge 3-19, All-age school is seeking to appoint an excellent, highly committed and enthusiastic practitioner and leader who:
• Can effectively lead Additional Learning Needs throughout the age range of the school.
• Demonstrates high aptitude and knowledge of the Additional Learning Needs transformation and code of practice in Wales and working practices.
• Communicates progress with learners, teachers, and parents/carers.
• Reviews the guidance, support, and strategies deployed in meeting the needs of learners with Additional Learning Needs.
• Works with the Senior Leadership Team to coordinate provision across the cluster of primary schools to ensure successful transition from other primaries.
• Is able to demonstrate flair in conflict management and look for positive resolutions to complex problems.
• Is able to facilitate learning to the highest standards.
• Will manage and lead aspects of whole school development with colleagues from the strategic leadership team.
• Has excellent interpersonal skills to secure positive relationships with all staff, learners and their parents/carers.
• Has the ability to create a supportive and well-ordered environment for learners and to ensure that they can access the support they require from school and external agencies.
