Croydon College is seeking to appoint an experienced Careers, Progression and Employability Officer - SEND to join its Careers team.
This newly created post will support the Careers Advisers in providing an effective impartial careers service, tailored to the needs of learners and prospective learners with an identified SEND need and to work closely with curriculum to support delivery of a high-quality careers’ education programme for them.
The role will include working closely with the careers and employability service to contribute towards the effective coordination and delivery of activities in the context of CEIAG for learners with SEND. It will support the college to maintain a positive profile within the employability agenda and to adopt an inclusive, collaborative and collegiate approach in addressing the needs of students with an Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP) or SEN Support Plan who require support.
You would be joining a motivated and experienced student focused team who are collaborative and proactive in their approach to supporting students to overcome barriers and achieve their potential.
Applicants must be educated to Level 3 standard with a minimum of Level 2 English and Maths, a Level 4 Careers Information and Advice and a comprehensive understanding of the SEND Code of Practice.
