Our Progress Coaches are key to our student outcomes and provide a route into teaching for those who want to develop further.
We are seeking a highly motivated, student-focused Progress Coach, to deliver coaching to our young people in Health & social Care, with the School of Business, Community & Access. The successful postholder will be using a comprehensive programme that will support student development, enhance learner progression opportunities, and positively impact student outcomes.
The Progress Coach role is an exciting opportunity to apply coaching and mentoring techniques to enable students to overcome barriers to learning, develop resilience and develop problem-solving skills. This will include coaching sessions which promote the development of employability, social and personal skills, which encourage positive attitudes and behaviours.
You would be expected to use a variety of coaching strategies, and provide students with appropriate support in accordance with the programme and individual requirements.
You must have a Maths and English Qualification at Level 2 or above, and experience in delivering workshops or training /coaching to groups of young people.
The successful candidate will need to have the ability to develop trust and positive relationships with students, ensuring a coaching style of communication. Team work and collaboration are also key, together with a strong commitment and enthusiasm to support our learners to succeed.
