The Role:

If you offer first class administrative, interpersonal and communication skills, this position offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the admissions process for Croydon High Junior School.

This role is crucial in ensuring all prospective pupils and their families receive a positive impression of the school throughout the admissions process.

You will ensure that all enquiries are followed up within agreed timescales and will process all applications in accordance with required procedures, including making arrangements for interviews and school visits, and coordinating arrangements for entrance assessments.

You will also provide support with the planning of marketing events for the Junior School, such as open days as well as act as liaison with feeder and local schools, nurseries and external partners.

Maintaining pupil records and databases and ensuring that information is up-to-date, readily accessible, and managed in accordance with data protection requirements, is also a key responsibility for this role.

About You

You will need the ability to relate well to people on all levels with sensitivity, tact and diplomacy and will be able to remain calm under pressure and work to tight deadlines; with a systematic approach to tasks, and strong attention to detail.

Experience of managing databases is also essential.

You will also need training and/or experience in essential Microsoft Office applications, as well as knowledge of office management processes.

A good telephone manner and the ability to deal with callers and visitors in a calm and courteous way are equally important.
