The Castle School has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join our ambitious school from September 2025. You will join a large team of experienced maths teachers with a track record of results well above national at KS4 (with the majority of our students being entered for higher tier) and A-level. Maths have just moved into a new maths (and science block) with dedicated maths rooms and maths workroom. We run a full program of maths courses, including GCSE maths and Level 2 further maths, A-level maths, further maths and core maths at Post 16. We also have an extensive range of maths enrichment, including University trips, Royal Institute Master Classes, and one hundred and sixty students doing the Maths Challenge for example. We would welcome and encourage those who are ECTs or early in their career, as well as those with more experience to contact us as this could be an excellent opportunity to start, or continue, your career in teaching within a good school. This role is permanent and will initially be working as a member of the Maths department at The Castle School however you may be asked to move across to another one of our family of secondary schools within our Trust, depending on business needs. About you
The successful candidate will be a strong and engaging practitioner, with a passion for teaching Mathematics up to A Level, to all ability ranges. You will be able to build effective relationships with both staff and students and will be a positive role model. You will be well supported by an established team of colleagues within the department. The department currently uses the White Rose Maths scheme at KS3 (Yr 7 & 8), Edexcel at GCSE and OCR at A level.
