About the role

As a Science Technician, you’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of engaging and safe science lessons across the school. Working under the direction of the Senior Science Technician and Head of Faculty, you’ll prepare practical resources, maintain equipment, and ensure that all experiments and demonstrations run smoothly.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Preparing and setting up materials and apparatus for practical lessons
  • Ensuring laboratories are clean, safe, and well-stocked

  • Managing chemical stocks and ensuring safe storage and disposal
  • Maintaining and repairing equipment as required

This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in science, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive, safety-conscious approach. Experience in a school lab setting is helpful, but training can be provided.

You’re someone who:

  • Is organised, reliable, and confident working in a busy lab setting
  • Enjoys supporting teachers and students with exciting experiments and demonstrations
  • Understands the importance of health and safety and follows procedures precisely
  • Can manage equipment, prepare resources, and keep everything running like clockwork
  • Communicates clearly and works well as part of a team
  • Brings a positive attitude and a passion for helping students explore science
