Why join us

The DT department has an ambitious, innovative curriculum which both supports and challenges students throughout the key stages. We have based this largely on the national curriculum scheme of learning, adapting and developing these ideas to ensure they fit the needs of our students. We have a bank of central lesson resources which support our staff with planning, foster collaboration and help embed consistency through the department. We also encourage teachers to be part of the creative process when reviewing and adapting the curriculum to ensure it is not only up to date but also exciting, creative and relevant. We are a positive ,forward thinking department that is always looking for ways to improve and develop our curriculum and support our students to get the most out of their DT education.

We pride ourselves on our CPD support with a focus on subject-specific pedagogy and teaching and learning. We also have a central Trust education team who support and deliver high quality training. In addition, we deliver comprehensive ECT induction in association with the Five Counties Teaching Schools Hubs Alliance and Ambition Institute.

We would welcome and encourage those who are ECTs or early in their career to contact us, as well as those with more experience. We are happy to consider both full time and part time working hours.
