As a SEN Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in providing individualised support and education to students with a range of special educational needs. The needs of our students are diverse and include; Complex Learning Difficulties and Speech and Language Difficulties. The successful candidate will have experience of working in primary phase. English OR Maths specialism is highly desired but not essential. Your main responsibilities will include:
1. Developing and implementing personalised learning plans for students with SEN, tailored to their unique strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles.
2. Creating a positive and nurturing learning environment that fosters the academic, social, and emotional growth of each student.
3. Collaborating with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure effective communication and a holistic approach to student development.
4. Utilising a variety of teaching strategies, assistive technologies, and resources to accommodate diverse learning needs and maximize student engagement.
5. Assessing and monitoring student progress regularly, adjusting instructional strategies as needed to facilitate meaningful learning outcomes.
6. Implementing behaviour management techniques to support students in developing appropriate social skills and behaviours.
7. Participating in professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices in special education.
