The Governing Body at Cyfarthfa High School is excited to appoint an outstanding and professional to join our leadership team to take forward our school. Governors are seeking to appoint an inspirational leader who has a clear and compelling vision and a strong belief in the importance of education, supporting the Headteacher and working as part of the Senior Leadership Team to drive the school’s mission. You will enable learners to become ambitious, capable and well-rounded citizens through high quality learning and teaching in a supportive environment.
We are looking for a skilled professional who:
• is a successful leader within Secondary education mathematics department
• has the vision, knowledge, experience and leadership skills to support the Headteacher in leading our school forward and build on existing strengths
• is a strategic thinker who will work closely and effectively with the whole school
• has the ability to be an impactful leader at whole school level
• has up-to-date knowledge of what makes excellent learning and teaching, together with curriculum and assessment
• has the personality to inspire and motivate students and staff
• is a professional with effective management and interpersonal skills
• will be approachable, with excellent communication skills
• will embrace and develop the school’s relationships with the community
• is committed to their own and whole school professional development
• has high standards and expectations – ensuring every child receives the best education in an equitable environment that looks after every single learner
