About the Role:

As an Instructor Technician, you will play a key role in supporting high‑quality teaching and learning across the School of Building Services. You will provide hands‑on instructor support within your specialist area and, where required, offer flexible support to colleagues across campuses.

The role also includes covering specific teaching duties to support staff teams, including providing cover during periods of staff absence. This is a varied and rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, supporting learners, and contributing to a dynamic educational environment.

This is a part‑time (15 hours) fixed‑term cover role until August 2026, ideal for someone looking to gain further experience in an FE setting or balance work alongside other commitments

Further Information:

All staff employed at Coleg y Cymoedd have a responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of learners, and all those working at the College are expected to uphold this commitment. As part of our safer recruitment processes, all new starters must successfully complete the required preemployment checks prior to commencing employment. This includes an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. For roles that involve direct interaction with learners, registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) is also a mandatory requirement.

We are a values driven organisation committed to employing a diverse workforce and fostering an inclusive environment where colleagues are respected and supported to be themselves. We treat every individual with dignity, fairness, and respect.

As a Disability Confident Leader, we actively encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds and communities, particularly in relation to age, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, religion and/or belief. We are committed to removing barriers and making our recruitment processes as inclusive and accessible as possible.

We welcome applications in both Welsh and English. Applications submitted in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than those submitted in English. If you are a Welsh speaker or learner, we would be delighted to receive your application.

Roles at Coleg y Cymoedd are campus based to support teaching, learner experience and service delivery.

Postholders may request flexible working, including limited remote working, through the College’s Flexible Working Process (a statutory day one right). Requests are considered individually based on role needs and service coverage.

Candidates or employees with accessibility or reasonable adjustment needs are encouraged to discuss these with the People & Culture team.

All applications must be submitted by 11:59pm on the advertised closing date. Applications received after this deadline may not be considered.
