1. Purpose of Job

To provide flexible business and administration support to the department.

2. Principle Accountabilities

• To manage the flow of inbound and outbound telephone calls to Line Manager. This will involve the screening all calls and taking messages ensuring that callers receive a high quality response in an appropriate timescale.

• To provide administrative support for Line Manager including the compilation and production of letters, memos, minutes, agendas and reports ensuring all documents are produced in house style.

• To assist in the co-ordination and administration meetings and associated papers.

• To maintain a filing systems appropriate to each Line Managers needs and requirements.

• To maintain Line Managers diaries, arranging appointments, organising meetings and the scheduling of internal and external visitors;

• To co-ordinate the flow of correspondence to the Line Manager. This will include the logging and prioritising of mail.

• To assist in the distribution of documents to other parts of the building on a regular daily basis.

• Operate the till as necessary taking and logging monies from parents

• To perform other such duties commensurate with the grade of the post, as required by the Line Manager
