This is an exciting opportunity where we are seeking an outstanding Administrative Assistant to join our team in January 2021. You will need to provide effective administrative support and be the first point of contact for all of our visitors. It is essential that you are a good communicator as you will also need to liaise closely with another part time Administrator to make up a full time position.
This will be a challenging and varied role where you will need to think on your feet, seek out information and problem solve. An experienced administrator (preferably with primary school experience), you will enjoy setting up and maintaining efficient, compliant administrative systems. As the first point of contact for our visitors, you will need a bright and cheery nature so that everyone feels welcome.
The successful candidate will be joining a passionate, committed and supportive team in a developing school. Flexibility is key.
You will be required to work 19.5 hours per week during term time and non pupil days.
Your work pattern will be: 8.30am - 3.30pm Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Your main place of work will be based at St James' Primary & Nursery School in Okehampton; however, you may be required to work across all Trust schools as directed.
The position is offered as a fixed term contract from January 2021 until August 2022 subject to budgetary restraints.
St James Church of England Primary and Nursery School opened in September 2018. It has a distinctive Christian character and makes the most of its’ Dartmoor setting by specialising in outdoor learning and education. You will need a good pair of wellies!
