Clerk to the Academy Council (Local Governing Body)
Contract: Permanent
Salary: BG08 -£22,417 - £24,584 per annum, full time equivalent - £2,114 - £2,318 actual based on 162 a years (approx 3.8 hours a week)
Hours worked are are flexible and based around the requirements of the School and Academy Council Meeting dates
There may be the opportunity to add to these hours, which can be discussed at interview.

St Leonard's CE Primary School is a one-form entry school in the North of Swindon in the popular village of Blunsdon. It is part of the Diocese of Bristol Academies Trust (DBAT). We wish to appoint a highly motivated Clerk to provide effective administrative support to the Academy Council (Local Governing Body).
The Clerk to the Academy Council (Local Governing Body) is central to the smooth running of the Academy Council, preparing agendas, taking and distributing minutes, offering administrative support, keeping records and giving procedural and legislative advice to the governing body. Clerks must have excellent organisation, communication, and IT skills, as well as an ability to take accurate minutes at meetings. To help the successful applicant fulfil their role we expect them to attend all relevant training events and work alongside the Diocese of Bristol Academies Trust advisors.
The successful candidate will have:
- Excellent organisation, communication, and ICT skills
- Good time management skills
- An ability to take accurate minutes at meetings
- The ability to offer advice and guidance to the Academy Council
