St Peter's C of E Primary School is a vibrant, welcoming school with an incredibly strong sense of community. Tucked away behind Chippenham Mews, our school provides a safe, nurturing environment for our children, which is supported by our dedicated parents and teachers.
We are currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and well established team, supporting a pupil on a 1:1 basic twice a week until August 2022.
This post is Term Time Only and preferred hours are Wednesday from 8:50am to 12noon and Friday from 8:50 to 3pm with an hours break between 12noon and 1pm.
There is potential for some flexibility for the right candidate and we would invite applicants to make contact with the school to discuss further if interested.

The successful applicant will have :
- At least 1 years’ experience of working effectively in a learning / child care setting
- GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent) in English & Maths
- Skills of empathy, listening, communication and responding with appropriate language to build rapport with children from a variety of ages, abilities and backgrounds.
- Experience of working with children who have ASD
- Aptitude to develop a knowledge of the role within an education environment
- Flexible, adaptable and positive attitude to working in a structured environment
- Communication skills to promote and develop effective working with pupils and colleagues
