Your opportunity to work on a casual basis supporting the students with transportation to different venues and events:
The Minibus Driver will safely transport students to and from Winterstoke Hundred Academy in accordance with the planned timetable and agreed routes. They will provide assistance to children to ensure their safe entry and exit from the vehicles.
The postholder is responsible for the safety of the passengers, other road users, members of the public and themselves as they collect students. They are required to ensure the bus is in good working order before and after use each day and ensure all children onboard the bus maintain appropriate and safe behaviour during transportation.
At all times, the post holder will be expected to act as an ambassador for the academy, ensuring that they promote and act in accordance with the Federation’s values and ethos.
About you:
You will have:
- a current clean driving licence with category D1 entitlement.
- minimum of three years driving experience.
- be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing whilst demonstrating the ability to understand and convey sensitive information effectively.
- the skills to be able to deal with inappropriate behaviour in a calm and non-judgemental way.
- hard working, flexible and reliable work ethics

About Winterstoke Hundred Academy:
Winterstoke Hundred Academy is named after the historic parish of Weston-super-Mare and launched as a new 11-19 Academy in September 2020, admitting pupils for the first time in that year into Year 7 and Year 12. The academy is growing year by year, and we have been very pleased that our incoming cohorts in Year 7 have been oversubscribed in consecutive years, while our post-16 applications also show significant growth. We recently opened a state-of-the-art, net-zero building at Locking Parklands for Years 7-11, with post-16 education continuing at the original Beaufighter Road site, just a five-minute drive away.
We celebrate the fact that, as a new provision, our culture, ethos and values have been ours to define from the beginning, and we are able to decide what is important to take with us into the future as we grow.
