Position: Teacher of English with whole school Reading Coordinator

Salary: Main Pay Range/ Upper Pay Range pro rata + TLR 3

Contract: 0.7, Permanent

Earl Mortimer College & Sixth Form Centre seeks to appoint a Teacher of English to join our team of creative, supportive and dynamic staff.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Be a qualified teacher of English – QTS status

• Have exemplary subject knowledge

• Have knowledge of the Eduqas GCSE specifications for Literacy and Language

• Be passionate and enthusiastic about teaching and learning

• Have a positive outlook and excellent interpersonal skills

• Demonstrate outstanding classroom practice with high expectations for achievements and behaviour

• Be able to deliver a creative and stimulating curriculum to a high standard, enabling our students to achieve their best possible outcomes

• A willingness to participate in continuous professional development opportunities to maximise your pedagogical knowledge

• Be willing to contribute to the values, ethos and the development of our school

• Be willing to take on the role of whole school Reading Co-ordinator
