An exciting opportunity for an experienced SENCO to join our dedicated and dynamic team of educators, leading and co-ordinating provision for Resource Bases within two of our Primary schools.
Contract: 0.8 permanent
Salary: MPS / UPS + SEN ALLOWANCE + TLR

Diocese of Bristol Academies Trust (DBAT) aims to provide an outstanding education for all pupils which enables every pupil to flourish. In order to support pupils with the highest level of need, DBAT has two specialist Resource Bases: one in Easton CE Academy and one in Fishponds Academy. Both Resource Bases support children with severe speech, language and communication needs with the majority of each cohort having an autism diagnosis. Fishponds Specialist Resource Base opened in October 2022 and Easton Specialist Resource Base will open in January 2024.
DBAT is looking for an enthusiastic, skilled SENCO who has experience of working with children who have high level speech, language and communication needs including autism, and who will lead and co-ordinate Resource Base provision in these two primary settings. Under the line management of the Trust DEI Lead, the Resource Base SENCO will work in partnership with the school SENCOs as well as with senior leaders in each school.

Experience of working in partnership with other health and educational professionals.
Someone who is skilled at delivering training to staff.
A SENCO with a positive, resourceful and forward-thinking outlook.
Someone with the ability to prioritise, plan time and organise themselves effectively.
Experience of using a trauma-informed approach in teaching and learning
