Diocese of Bristol Academies Trust (DBAT) aims to provide an outstanding education for all pupils which enables every pupil to flourish. Easton CE Academy is a large, thriving academy situated at the heart of a vibrant, multicultural community. In order to support pupils with the highest level of need, Easton is opening a Specialist Resource Base in January 2024. The Resource Base will have a cohort of 12 children all with severe social communication needs and with the majority having an autism diagnosis.
DBAT is looking for an enthusiastic, skilled primary teacher who has experience of working with children who have high level social communication needs, including autism, to plan and deliver high quality teaching and learning in this specialist setting. Under the line management of the Resource Base SENCO, the teacher will work in partnership with the mainstream school, Resource Base Teaching Assistants and associated professionals to deliver excellent inclusive teaching and learning.

- A primary teacher who has experience of supporting children with high level social communication needs, including autism
- A teacher with a track-record of delivering excellent inclusive teaching and learning.
- Someone with a positive, resourceful and forward-thinking outlook.
- Someone with the ability to prioritise, plan time and organise themselves effectively.
- Experience of using a trauma-informed approach in teaching and learning
- A teacher who is able to work effectively in a team, including deploying teaching assistants.
