Welsh Teacher
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and dynamic Teacher of Welsh to join our successful and supportive school. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate classroom practitioner who can inspire pupils, foster a love of the Welsh language and contribute to the continued development of Cymraeg across our learning community.
Ebbw Fawr Learning Community is a thriving all-age school that proudly serves the children, families and wider community of Ebbw Vale. Our primary and secondary phases operate across two sites, allowing us to develop a shared approach to learning, progression and pupil wellbeing from ages 3 to 16.
We are proud to have achieved the Siarter Iath Cymraeg Campus Gold Award. Our achievement reflects the commitment of pupils and staff to celebrating Welsh language and culture. The successful candidate will play an important role in sustaining this work and helping us take the next steps in making Cymraeg visible, valued and used throughout the school.
The successful candidate will join our secondary phase and will teach Welsh across the relevant age and ability range. We are looking for a teacher who has high expectations of pupils, plans engaging and purposeful learning experiences and is committed to helping every learner make strong progress from their individual starting point.
The successful candidate will work as part of a collaborative department and will be supported to develop professionally. They will also contribute to wider activities that raise the profile of Welsh and encourage pupils to use the language beyond the classroom.
The closing date for applications is Monday 13 July at 3.00pm. Interviews will take place on Wednesday 15 July.
Ebbw Fawr Learning Community is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
