The Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional and experienced Teacher or Tutor to provide high-level educational support and pastoral care within a private household as a Residential Tutor/Governor.

This unique role is for a UK based Tutor/Teacher to work with a high-profile family based in Uzbekistan including extensive international travel over a one-year period.

You will be supporting a 5-year-old child with a tailored, structured academic and personal development programme, based on the UK Early Years Framework. The young person is home schooled whilst moving around with the family and has had a previous tutor who had been teaching various subjects including Chinese Language.

This is a rare opportunity for a dedicated education professional who thrives in a dynamic, bespoke environment and is passionate about delivering an inspirational package of world schooling.

This role is Monday to Friday with occasional accompaniment of the child to enrichment activities at the weekend where required.

What will you be doing?

  • Deliver one-to-one tailored tuition, aligned to UK Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
  • Act as a governor of learning, overseeing and coordinating the child’s academic progress across all subjects.
  • Provide pastoral care and mentorship, supporting emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and personal social development.
  • Design and implement bespoke educational plans, adapting to travel schedules and international contexts.
  • Identify opportunities for enrichment experiences to blend the places of travel with the provision.
  • Accompany the family on international travel, maintaining consistency in education regardless of location.
  • Encourage extracurricular engagement, including cultural experiences, languages, and enrichment activities.

Who are we looking for?

  • Qualified teacher (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent) with a strong academic background.
  • Proven experience in private tutoring, residential roles, or elite education settings.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum, with additional curriculum experience desirable.
  • Highly adaptable, organised, and capable of working autonomously.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a nurturing, discreet, and professional approach.
  • Comfortable travelling internationally for extended periods and living in a private household environment.
  • Additional skills (languages, music, sports, arts) highly advantageous.

What’s on offer?

  • Competitive salary of £80,000 per annum.
  • All international travel, accommodation, and subsistence costs covered.
  • A unique opportunity to work in a high-profile environment with global exposure.
  • Access to enriching cultural and international experiences.

(This role is self-employed working directly with the family for a period of 12 months)
