We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Level 1 Lunchtime Supervisor to join our dedicated team within a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive difference to the lives of children and young people by supporting their wellbeing, safety, and social development during lunchtime periods.
Working alongside teachers, support staff, and other lunchtime supervisors, you will help create a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment where pupils can thrive. Our pupils have additional learning, communication, physical or behavioral needs and require patient, consistent, and compassionate support.
• Supervising pupils during lunchtime and play activities.
• Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging social interaction.
• Supporting pupils with feeding, mobility and personal care needs where appropriate.
• Ensuring the safety and welfare of all pupils during lunchtime periods.
• Responding appropriately to accidents, incidents, and minor medical needs.
• Reporting concerns relating to behaviour, welfare or safeguarding to the appropriate staff member.
• Helping to maintain a calm, orderly, and inclusive environment.
• Responsible for setting up before lunch and clearing away after including sweeping, cleaning tables and disposing of food.
