Full time salary range: £28,163 - £30,060 pro rata

Actual salary range: £ 19,303 - £20,604

Hours: Four days per week, Monday to Thursday, 08:15 to 16:00, 29 hours per week

Term Time Only - 5 days inset attendance required (pro rata)

JOB OVERVIEW

Elmlea Schools encompasses the Elmlea Infant School and Elmlea Junior school. Both schools are renowned for their all-round education and have outstanding Ofsted ratings. On 1st March 2025, Elmlea Schools Trust became part of the larger Multi-Academy Trust, Russell Education Trust.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strong candidate to join the Business Team at Elmlea Schools as an Office Manager to support the office and administration functions of Elmlea Infant School and Elmlea Junior School. We are looking for an adaptable, flexible and resourceful team member to work within the Business Team. Working across the Elmlea Schools, and wider Trust where required, to provide high quality and effective administrative support to the Schools and wider Trust.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

The responsibilities of the role include:

• To manage and lead an office team that delivers high quality, consistent administrative systems, processes and working practices and meets the needs of the Trust.

• To ensure all office staff create a professional and welcoming reception for visitors and parents.

• To ensure office staff workloads are effectively managed, prioritised and monitored to meet relevant deadlines. To report to the Business Manager where there are difficulties in achieving or managing this.

• Lead and administer all pupil admissions and leavers.

• Trips and fixtures management for the school.

• Day to day management of the Single Central Record.

• Risk assessment management.

• Catering contract administration.

• First aid management for the school.

• New staff administration.

• Support for SLT as and when required.

• Website management.

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL:

• Have previous office/admin management experience

• Be an experienced administrator, ideally within an educational setting.

• Have high levels of organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise work at peak times, whilst enjoying the challenges this brings from a larger than average school.

• Have experience in a school management system, preferably Arbor

• Have excellent IT skills, including Word and Excel.

• Have excellent people management skills

• Possess a high level of verbal and written communication skills.

• Minimum of grade C in GCSE Maths & English

The position is permanent and the staff member will join as soon as possible. The position is for 29 hours per week in term time. Working days Monday to Thursday and hours 8:15 to 16:00.

Salary: BG8 SCP full time salary range: £28,163 - £30,060 pro rata - actual salary range: £ 19,303 - £20,604, term time and 5 days inset attendance required (pro rata)
