We are seeking an experienced and committed SENDCo to lead and further develop our provision for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities – this is not a classroom teaching role.

About the Role
This is a key leadership role within the school, where you will take responsibility for the strategic development and day-to-day operation of SEND provision.
You will:
• Lead and manage SEND provision across the school, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning for all.
• Work closely with staff to develop inclusive classroom practice and remove barriers to learning.
• Monitor and evaluate the progress and attainment of pupils with SEND.
• Oversee EHCP processes and ensure statutory requirements are met.
• Coach and support staff to fulfil their responsibilities for SEND.
• Liaise effectively with parents, external agencies and colleagues.
• Your work will ensure effective use of resources and improved outcomes for all pupils with SEND.
We are looking for someone who:
• Is a qualified teacher (QTS).
• Holds the National Award for SENDCo or is willing to achieve it within 3 years.
• Has experience of leading or contributing to SEND provision in a primary setting.
• Has strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP processes.
• Is an excellent classroom practitioner with a passion for inclusive education.
• Can lead, inspire and support colleagues effectively.
• Builds strong relationships with pupils, families and external agencies.
• Demonstrates resilience, professionalism and a commitment to safeguarding.
