Brockington College is a highly successful 11-16 college, where students enjoy ‘learning to live life to the full’. We have recently become a member of Embrace Multi Academy Trust, which aims to achieve the best possible outcomes for all our stakeholders, including members of staff. 

We require a dedicated and enthusiastic teaching head of year to join our outstanding pastoral team from January 2023, or sooner if possible. The successful candidate will be responsible for a year group, establishing a positive ethos and identity, working with students, parents and carers in order to ensure all students benefit fully from the opportunities available to them. We aim for the head of year and pastoral manager to remain attached to a year group. Upon appointment you will have the opportunity to join our new year 7 cohort as they embark upon their Brockington College journey. We welcome applications from teachers who believe in the ethos and vision of our school. The ability to teach English, science or maths / business studies / computer science is also desirable.

Brockington College is a Church of England Academy, attended by students from a variety of faith backgrounds and our strong Christian ethos is the firm foundation for all that we do. Our modern college building provides state-of-the-art facilities that make a strong contribution to teaching standards and to student and staff well-being. Members of staff enjoy a range of CPD and INSET opportunities, a robust support system for ECTs, free car parking, weekly sports opportunities and voluntary prayer meetings, alongside other wellbeing opportunities The school runs a wide variety of enrichment opportunities for students, as well as a range of residential trips, which members of staff support both near and far, from the Forest of Dean and Norfolk to Iceland, Kenya and China.
