Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners? We are a welcoming Church of England primary school, part of a dynamic multi-academy trust, dedicated to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment for all our pupils. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team from August 2026, working 16 hours per week, term time.
This is a varied and rewarding role where you will work closely with teachers and support staff to contribute to the planning, delivery and assessment of learning.
We are looking for individuals who can:
• Deliver learning to whole classes, groups and individual pupils, including covering classes where required.
• Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
• Contribute to planning, assessment and evaluation of learning.
• Promote positive behaviour and create a safe, engaging learning environment.
• Provide day-to-day guidance and support to other classroom support staff.
• This role will involve delivering planned lessons and supporting pupils independently where required.
We are looking for someone who:
• Holds HLTA status (or relevant experience/equivalent qualification).
• Has experience supporting teaching and learning across the primary age range.
• Is confident delivering whole-class learning.
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Builds strong, positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
• Demonstrates initiative, flexibility and a commitment to teamwork.
• Is fully committed to safeguarding and supporting the wellbeing of all pupils.
