Sherrier CE Primary School is a busy and friendly school with a supportive staff team. We are seeking an enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisor to become part of our committed team. from August 2026. The postholder will assist with lunchtime: leading and organising activities for children, supervising the children at play, setting up the hall and supporting children while they are eating their lunch.

We are looking for someone who:

• Enjoys working with children.

• Is polite and able to develop positive relationships with all.

• Is able to speak to children sensitively.

• Is able to work as part of a team – listening to others, sharing ideas, being helpful to one another.

• Is sensible and able to use their initiative.

The post will involve setting up and putting away tables and chairs and sweeping and mopping floors – so anyone applying will need to be reasonably fit and strong and have a certain amount of stamina.

The postholder will be required to lead and supervise activities with children on the playground adhering to our Happy Lunchtimes ethos. They will also need to be mindful of the specific needs of children on our SEND register or those with medical needs and allergies. Full training will be given.

The post will be for 1 hour per day between 12:00pm and 1:00pm, term time only (38 weeks per year).

Closing date for applications: Wednesday 17th June 2026 at 11am.

Interviews date TBC with shortlisted candidates.
