Sherrier CE Primary School is a busy and friendly school with a supportive staff team. We are part of the Embrace Multi-Academy Trust which currently consists of 2 secondary schools and 7 other primary schools. Sherrier CE Primary School is a caring, inclusive school where children are placed at the heart of everything we do.

Your Opportunity

In this key role, you will lead and support a dedicated office team, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all administrative functions across the school. From overseeing daily operation and managing financial process, to supporting the Leadership Team and line managing the cleaning staff. This role offers variety, responsibility and opportunity to make a meaningful impact. You will be at the heart of the school community, promoting a warm, professional environment while maintaining excellent communication and the highest standards of confidentiality.


Working Pattern:

Hours: 37 hours per week. Monday – Thursday 7.30am -3.30pm, Fridays 7.30 am – 3.00pm

42 weeks per year (38 weeks term time, 1 week INSET plus 3 weeks holiday working)


What we are looking for

• Proven experience of working in a school office

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage staff effectively.

• Excellent planning, organisational, administrative and finance abilities with a keen eye for detail.

• Confident in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams), with familiarity in school systems such as Bromcom considered a bonus.

• Generally IT confident with a willingness to learn and adapt to new systems.

• Clear, professional communication skills and a friendly, welcoming manner.

• Highly reliable with personal integrity and a commitment to confidentiality.

• Able to plan and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.

• High level of personal and emotional resilience with the ability to remain calm and positive under pressure.

• A team player with a proactive, can-do attitude and an understanding of the importance of safeguarding within a school environment.

• Capacity to be flexible, enjoy new challenges and be able to manage multiple priorities.
