Start Date: 01/09/2025

Grade: 10£25,992-£27,269 FTE per annum 

Actual Salary: £18,882.28-£19,809.97 per annum (based on 31.25 hours per week, term time only plus INSET days)

Hours: 31.25 hours per week

  • Monday to Friday: 8.45am – 15.30pm (includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break)
  • Term time only plus INSET days

Contract: Fixed Term until 31/08/2026, subject to a review of the school's budget

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work flexibly across the School, supporting all age groups in close collaboration with the teachers. You will work as part of a team under the guidance of class teachers and the SENCO to assist in the educational, personal, and social development of our pupils, including those with special educational needs.

The successful candidates will:

✅ Be passionate about making a difference to all children

✅ Have experience supporting children’s learning, ideally within a school or classroom environment

✅ Be aspirational for every child and believe that all pupils can learn – even if they haven’t learnt something yet

✅ Be flexible and able to adapt their practice to support effective learning

✅ Demonstrate strong pupil management skills, ensuring that learning continues in a calm, structured environment

✅ Build strong, positive relationships with colleagues, children, and families

✅ Be a reflective practitioner with a strong desire to learn and continually improve

✅ Hold a relevant Level 2 NVQ qualification (or equivalent) as a minimum

 Fluency Duty 

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to converse at ease with pupils, parents and other users and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
