Class Teacher - Maternity cover

Commencing 01.09.2025 – 31.08.2026

Fringe Teachers Main Pay Scale £33,075-£45,037

We are seeking an exceptional classroom practitioner with a creative approach to teaching to join our team as maternity cover from September 2025, for approximately one year, dependent upon the member of staff on maternity leave

Epsom Downs will be joining Greensand Multi Academy Trust in the summer term 2025 and staff will be contracted as employees of the trust. This is an exciting time and a significant step forward, as the school becomes part of a supportive network of schools committed to enhancing educational standards, sharing expertise, and providing additional resources for both staff and students.

This role is for a class teacher, who will collaborate closely with their Phase Team, our Headteacher, and Deputy.

Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated professional to:

• Lead and contribute to the development of an engaging and forward-thinking curriculum

• Inspire and motivate students through creative and effective teaching approaches

• Support the delivery of strategic learning initiatives across the school, promoting a positive and collaborative learning environment

• Continuously develop teaching practice to deliver engaging and interactive lessons that foster student growth and achievement

Candidate Profile

• All teachers have subject responsibility (except Early Career Teachers).

• If you are an Early Career Teacher, we offer comprehensive support for professional development. You would be supported into this role in your second year.
