Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our passionate team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of students with SEN, ensuring they receive the tailored assistance and encouragement they need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized support to students with SEN, including but not limited to those with autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, dyslexia, and emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Assist in the planning and delivery of personalized learning activities and interventions to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN.
Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and the SEN Coordinator to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued, respected, and empowered to learn and grow.
Foster positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, and external professionals involved in the care and support of SEN students.
Support students with personal care, mobility, and other practical tasks as required, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience working with individuals with SEN in an educational setting is highly desirable.
Required minimum level 3 qualification to relevant to education or childcare
A genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of students with diverse needs, coupled with empathy and patience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the individual needs of students and the changing demands of the school environment.
