Maths SEN Teacher.

If you’re a patient and engaging teacher , experienced in maths, and SEN  and would relish the opportunity to work with learners in schools delivering lessons on a 1:1 or small group basis, then we’d love to work with you. Learners referred to us may demonstrate complex learning requirements - distinct experience of working with children who present the following will be advantageous:

Special educational needs (SEN) such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and Dyslexia or Dyspraxia

Social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs

Childhood trauma

The role

You’ll provide in-person tuition to pupils of all abilities who have either disengaged with education or who are struggling to meet age-related academic expectations. Your skill and expertise will play a leading role in improving self-confidence, subject knowledge and ultimately a positive outcome for all learners.

Key responsibilities

Create lesson plans and deliver tuition programmes that are designed to engage, inspire and teach.

Use of our virtual learning platform to report on attendance, attainment and engagement for all tutoring sessions.

Liaise with schools, local authorities, Fleet Education Services or other key stakeholders to inform and support the pupil or learner you are working with.

Complete training as required and commit to safeguarding principles.

A dedicated Tuition Consultant who will work closely with you to ensure you have as much work as you are able to fulfil, and who will find the right roles for you.

Requirements

Minimum degree level qualification in the subject area you teach.(QTS)

Minimum 6 months teaching/tutoring experience preferred.

Professional teaching qualification desirable but not essential.

Experience or wish to work with students with SEN, SEMH and other complex needs desirable but not essential.

Knowledge of the national curriculum for your chosen subject.

A commitment to safeguarding.

Must live and be eligible to work in the UK.

Must be willing to undertake a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and referencing process, as well as subscribing to the DBS Update Service.
