SEN Occupational Therapist
Location: Cranleigh
Start Date: ASAP
We are seeking two Occupational Therapists who wish to join a multidisciplinary therapy team with an
emphasis on delivering therapy through groups and individual sessions. You will ideally be
compassionate and patient with a strong interest in mental health and learning disabilities in children and
young people. You will be HCPC registered. We welcome applications from those who are newly
qualified.
This is a term time only role and we are open to flexibility. If you wish to work part time, we are open to
discussion and will be prepared to seriously consider part time requests. The salary range for this role is
based on 37 hours per week, 52 weeks a year. In practice, full time therapist hours are compressed into
term time only working (plus 5 in-service training days each academic year).
As well as delivering therapy, you will manage and prioritise some caseloads and enjoy building good
working relationships with our students, their families and your colleagues. You will be a part of a
friendly, busy, multidisciplinary therapies team that includes therapy assistants as well as therapists in
speech and language, music, art and drama.
Your role will include some supervision and monitoring of programmes delivered by our Therapy
Assistants. Our team do spend some time in the classrooms as part of our successful approach to
delivering some therapy while working in tandem with our education team.
Opportunities for specialist training and up-dating are regularly available. If you are recruited, you will be
required to complete Team Teach positive behaviour support training as part of your induction before
employment.
