Job Opportunity: SEN Teacher

Are you seeking a rewarding opportunity as an SEN Teacher? We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated SEN teacher to join our team.
This position is within an academy that caters to the unique needs of up to 150 pupils and students with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCP), primarily diagnosed with Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN) and/or Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). Our goal is to empower each student and their families to achieve ambitious objectives, enabling them to lead fulfilling lives. Role Responsibilities:
Develop tailored learning programs
Plan, prepare, and research lessons
Adapt teaching materials to suit individual needs
Utilize specialized facilities and equipment effectively
Assess students' abilities and requirements
Create Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for SEN students
Support integration of SEN students into mainstream classes
Qualifications and Skills:
Confidence, enthusiasm, and a passion for experiential learning
Experience or interest in working with children with profound/complex Special Education Needs
Proficiency or commitment to using symbolized communication systems (AAC) to facilitate language and learning in the classroom
Ability to cultivate positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers
Aptitude for promoting positive behaviour in a nurturing environment
Dedication to outdoor learning initiatives
Knowledge and experience in supporting children with significant sensory integration difficulties
Passion for working with neurodivergent students
Teaching qualification
Experience:
Previous experience in an SEN setting is required.
