Shift and Schedule – Day shift| Monday – Friday

Are you looking for a new SEN Teacher role? We are currently looking for an experienced SEN teacher who is keen on looking for their next job opportunity.
This school is part of an academy supporting the complex needs of up to 150 pupils and students with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCP) with a primary diagnosis of SLCN and/or ASC. Their aim is to help each pupil and student and their families achieve ambitious goals, enabling them to live life to the full. They accept and celebrate our unique identities and respect and value each other for who we are and what we can achieve as individuals and as a community. All staff members, regardless of role, see themselves and the duties they undertake in relation to securing positive outcomes for all pupils and students.
What the role will include:
• Developing programmes of learning activities
• Planning, preparing, and researching lessons.
• Preparing and adapting teaching materials
• Making use of special facilities and/or equipment
• Assessing students' abilities and needs
• Creating Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for each SEN student
• Helping students with special needs to integrate into mainstream classes.
The successful candidate will be:
Confidence, enthusiasm and a passion for hands-on learning
Experience and/or interest in working with children with more profound/complex Special Education Needs.
Experience or commitment to using symbolised communication systems (AAC) to support language and learning in the classroom.
The ability to build good working relationships with children, teachers, parents and carers.
The ability to promote positive behaviour in a nurturing environment is essential.
A commitment to embracing outdoor learning.
Knowledge and experience of supporting children with significant sensory integration difficulties.
A passion for working with neurodivergent students.
A teaching qualification.
Experience:
Previous experience working as a SEN setting is required.
