Year 5 Class Teacher

Eteach are working with a client primary school in Reading to recruit a Year 5 Class Teacher on a long-term supply basis. This is an exciting opportunity starting January 2024 until the end of the academic year and includes full teacher responsibilities. 

The successful candidate will be able to:

• Promote the school’s aims positively, and use effective strategies to monitor motivation and morale;
• Develop good personal relationships within a team;
• Establish and develop close relationships with parents, governors and the community;
• Communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) to a variety of audiences;
• Create a happy, challenging and effective learning environment

You will need to have sound knowledge on:

• The theory and practise of providing effectively for the individual needs of the children(e.g. Classroom organisation and learning strategies);
• The monitoring, assessment, recording and reporting of pupils’ progress;
• The statutory requirements of legislation concerning Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety, SEN and child protection;
• The positive links necessary within school and with all its stakeholders;
• Effecting teaching and learning styles

• Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
• Possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with online update service or be willing to process a new application.
• Provide two professional child related references.
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
